FAQs

Q: How do MID-STAR fire ratings compare against others?

A: MID-STAR’s fire ratings are highly competitive against every other extinguisher in the market. In fact, in a lot of cases MID-STAR maxes the fire tests available meaning there are not big enough fires in the test for MID-STAR.

Q: Do other distributors supply MID-STAR?

A: The smart ones do and others will too that do not want to get left behind.

Q: Is it mandatory to install fire protection elements in my premises?

A: The CTE (Technical Building Code) establishes, according to the Royal Decree, that all buildings built after 2006 must have Fire Safety Systems .

This is a "base" standard in which it is made clear that all buildings must have such a security system, but the truth is that there are specific standards depending on the sector we are talking about:

Establishments for tourist accommodation

Neighbor communities

Health facilities

Public shows and recreational activities

Chemical storage

Refrigeration plants and installations

...

NOTE: As for the neighborhood communities, all buildings inaugurated after October 1996 or earlier but have been rehabilitated, are required to have the necessary number of fire extinguishers for each of the floors as dictated by the regulations. .
