Image 10 Litre Oxygen Cylinder 1
10 Litre Oxygen Cylinder is used when a patient feels that there is not enough oxygen in the body or circulation.
Check that the flow regulator knob is set to zero (as shown in the example). Check that the T-handle is securely fastened. Insert the cylinder wrench into the on/off valve at the top of the cylinder. Round the valve counterclockwise one full turn to open it. The pressure in the cylinder will be displayed on the regulator's gauge when the valve opens. A full cylinder will have a pressure of around 2000 psi (pounds per square inch). Adjust the flow regulator knob to the flow rate suggested by your doctor. Connect the tubing to the regulator's nipple adapter.
Keep oxygen cylinders secure in your car so they don't collide with other cylinders or items. Increase airflow by cracking a window in your car. Keep the cylinders away from direct sunlight. Cylinders should not be stored in a vehicle's trunk. Please contact us if you will be traveling outside of our service region for a prolonged period of time. We will assist you in coordinating suitable oxygen services while you are traveling.
