Nitrous oxide sedation has been widely used in clinical practice for 160 years. When the patient is conscious, inhalation of proportionally mixed N2O and O2 is universally recognized as the safest, most effective and receptive way of sedation. It has remained as one of the most widely used anesthetics in both dental and medical applications.

The Nitrous Oxide and Oxygen Analgesia Systems deliver nitrous oxide (N2O) and oxygen (O2) which is inhaled through a mouthpiece or mask, providing your patients control through self-administration. The patients breathe normally through their mouth, and within a few short minutes they will start to feel the relaxing anxiolytic effects of the gas mixture. The effects of nitrous oxide wear off within 5 minutes after the last inhalation of the N2O/O2 mixture.

Improving patient safety was our first priority when developing our mobile medical cylinders. Valve is designed with a quick and easy set-up. Valve takes it a step further by providing essential cylinder details so you know exactly when to exchange cylinders.

FAQs

Q: How is medical grade nitrous oxide stored?

A: Nitrous oxide is a non-combustible element and thus, it is preserved in gas canisters or tanks. This way, it can be precisely measured during dosage to ensure that each patient receives the exact dose they need.

Q: Are there any precautions that need to be taken by the patient after receiving medical grade N2O?

A: After receiving nitrous oxide, a patient does not need any recovery time, and they can easily return to their typical activities, such as driving, cooking, and working.

Q: How long does a cylinder of N2O last?

A: A full N2O cylinder will last about 6 hours of continual use.
