Scuba diving cylinders are cylinders used to store and transport high-pressure gases used in diving
operations. The cylinder supplies gas to the diver through the demand valve of a diving regulator or the breathing circuit of a diving rebreather. Made of aluminum alloy, scuba diving cylinders, when used in diving installations, are usually equipped with one of two common types of cylinder valves for filling and connecting to the regulator. Divers can use a variety of harness configurations to carry one or more cylinders while diving, depending on the application.

Maintenance
1.First and foremost, thoroughly clean and examine all equipment before storing it. Check that nothing requires immediate repair. After that, check the cylinder pressure. Never leave tanks empty since this is a quick way to cause internal corrosion.
2.Throughout their lifetime, all tanks should contain at least 50 bar of air pressure. Tanks cannot remain without air outside of the servicing time. Keeping the cylinder at a greater pressure will keep anything inside. It's a good idea to write the date and pressure on the cylinders. This makes it simple to inspect the tanks for leakage after a period of storage.
