Principles for the use of laboratory gas cylinders

info-750-750

(1) High-pressure gas cylinders must be kept separately and fixed securely when placed upright; Gas cylinders should be kept away from heat sources to avoid exposure and strong vibration; Generally, the amount of gas cylinders stored in the laboratory shall not exceed two bottles.

A. On the shoulder of the cylinder, mark the following mark with a steel seal

Manufacturer /Date of manufacture/ Gas cylinder Model/ Working pressure/ Air pressure test pressure /Air pressure test date and next delivery date Gas volume Gas cylinder weight

B. In order to avoid confusion when various cylinders are used, the cylinders are often painted with different colors and the name of the gas in the bottle is written.

(2) The pressure reducer selected on the high pressure cylinder should be classified and dedicated, and the screw buckle should be tightened during installation to prevent leakage; When opening and closing the pressure reducer and switching valve, the action must be slow; When in use, the switch valve should be rotated first, and then the pressure reducer should be opened; After use, close the on-off valve first, exhaust the remaining gas, and then close the pressure reducer. Do not only turn off the pressure reducer, turn off the switch valve.

(3) When using high-pressure gas cylinders, the operator should stand in a vertical position with the gas cylinder interface. It is strictly forbidden to knock during operation, and often check for air leakage. Pay attention to the reading of the pressure gauge.

(4) Oxygen cylinders or hydrogen cylinders, etc., should be equipped with special tools, and strictly prohibit contact with oil. Operators should not wear clothes and gloves stained with various oils or susceptible to static electricity, so as not to cause burning or explosion.

(5) Flammable gas and combustion-supporting gas cylinders, and the distance from the open flame should be greater than ten meters (if it is difficult to reach, isolation and other measures can be taken).

(6) After the use of the gas cylinder, the residual pressure should be left above 0.05MPa according to the regulations. Flammable gas should be left 0.2MPa ~ 0.3MPa, to prevent danger during re-filling, can not be used up.

(7) All kinds of gas cylinders must be regularly checked. Cylinders filled with general gas shall be inspected once every three years; If serious corrosion or serious damage is found in use, it should be tested in advance.
