Logos and labels on cylinders
The marking on gas cylinders is regulated by DOT, which requires that some of the following markings be clearly and permanently printed on the shoulders, head, and neck in text or number form.

1. After the DOT specification number on the gas cylinder, the number indicating the working pressure is printed immediately, such as DOT~3AL 2015.
2. Below the DOT mark is a serial number (except for certain small-sized gas cylinders that can be identified with a batch number) and an identification symbol (letter). This symbol and number must be the symbol and number of the manufacturer and the symbol must be registered with the Bureau of Explosives. Additional symbols may be used to represent buyers or users.
3. Next to the serial number and test date is the inspector's official mark, and its position should be arranged to allow for easier addition of the test date to be printed later.
4. No one is allowed to change the mark on the gas cylinder except those specially stipulated in the DOT regulations. Note that serial numbers and ownership marks are prohibited to be changed unless a detailed report is made to the Bureau of Explosives. The markings on the cylinders must remain legible.
